Happy Veterans Day - Food Drive Starts!!!

I wanted to write and say Happy Veteran's Day!!!

There was this thought that came to mind early today as I remember exactly what day today was. This thought had to do with our topic or concept of the month...

"REMEMBER, who you wanted to BE"

Even more important is to remember the people that have served in the Armed Forces defending our freedom and our rights. They have made it possible for us to do all the things we have always wanted to do. They have made it possible for us to achieve our potential 110% strong.

Since they gave to us, we should all look for a way that we can give back to our community, state and country.

With this in mind and since we have the freedom to give back, we are hosting a canned and non-perishable food drive for Capital Area Food Bank. Last year we were able to top our goal and make it to 800+ pounds of food! This actually added up to 632 meals in total!!

We are going to set the bar a little higher this year by trying to raise 1000+ pounds!!!

That's right, 1000+ pounds. As you can imagine we are going to need your help to get us to that kind of number. We will be taking food and donations all the way until our Thanksgiving Break which will be from the November 26th - 30th. We will also be excepting food through the week of December 1st - 6th as well.

At the same time to keep you motivated we will be offering several events completely free of charge. All we ask is that you bring in some items that we can donate to the drive.

This weekend kick starts our first chance at making a big dent in our goal.

We are hosting a Family Awareness and Safety Seminar this Friday, November 14th. The seminar will take place from 630pm - 730pm and will cover drills that everyone can do. I highly recommend you bring a co-worker, classmate, friend or family member to enjoy this information. It is one of the most important parts of our Self-Defense Curriculum.

Remember the Seminar is completely FREE and open to everyone. All you have to do is make a small donation (or big :).

We are looking forward to helping everyone this weekend achieve a higher level of self-awareness and confidence through the holidays and many years to come.

Feel free to call to RSVP and we will save you a place.

Looking forward to seeing you soon and we hope all is well with you.

Guro Larry
