The Gift Revolution - Part 1

As the Holiday Season is upon us, we find ourselves reflecting on the past year and on those who have helped to shape our goals and lives in the most significant way. We value our relationship with you and look forward to working with you in the year to come. We wish you a very happy Holiday Season and a 2009 New Year filled with peace and prosperity.

With this in mind I wanted to also share with you the story I promised you. The one about... "the Gift Revolution".

This will be part one as there is more to the story :)

While speaking with my new found friend at DFW that I mentioned before, he told me another amazing story. This had to do with a gentleman coming up and purchasing a shoe shine. He refused to take it though and wanted it to be given away to the first person that would except a certain card. The card looked like a business card; but said something to the effect of that your life has just been effected by "the Gift Revolution". It asked for you to except this gift and to then pay it forward within the next 25 days to keep the "Revolution" going. Now what I found out next was pretty interesting. My friend went through 7-8 people before someone actually accepted the card and the shine???!!!! Can you believe that?

I find it amazing that He went through that many people before someone excepted it. Now think more on this. Who was the gift given to... the payment to my friend so he could make his living and pay it forward or the person that excepted the shine and then would pay it forward? I think both!!!

What an amazing concept!!! Now why 25 days? Well in a world of greed and "me me me-itis" (which is were many people only think about themselves) we need people to change their habits and the way they think. This includes a concept of if you do something within the next 25 days, or even better if you do something once a day for every 25 days, it.... is.... YOURS!!!

"Habits you Train are Habits you Gain!!!"

Now that is pure knowledge and the true power is EXECUTION!!!

So this Holiday Season, remember that it is about more than sales, lights, etc. It is about giving. The gift of giving is the most important thing that we can do and that is not just the season we are in. It is the season we should live in... from now until we are no more.

My gift today, is to share this experience with you and hope that you can share it with other people. Help others in every way you possibly can. Put yourself second and you will see Greatness.

After all, that is the only way and only reason Martial Way stands today.
